Gown

• Elegant long-sleeved gown with a high neckline

• Choice of floor-length gown or mini dress silhouette, TBD on styling preference following design review.

Internal Bustier 

• Built in internal corsetry for structure and support - plain corsetry mesh. Style TDB 

Overskirt

• Dramatic detachable overskirt with XXXL train, creating a transformative silhouette. Engineered to create a striking reveal and movement, with the train acting as a canvas for the most expansive storytelling elements of the artwork.

Embroidery & Colour:

Overview 

• Exquisite couture embroidery and beading inspired by the historic Bayeux Tapestry, interpreted with the utmost respect for the original artwork. The design should remain as faithful as possible to the tapestry's distinctive narrative style, figures, motifs, and colour palette, while elevating the craftsmanship through intricate hand embroidery, refined beadwork, and luxurious textile techniques. The overall effect should celebrate the richness, storytelling, and historical significance of the Bayeux Tapestry through a contemporary couture lens.

Concept per garment 

• Gown: Fully embroidered throughout, with the Bayeux Tapestry-inspired artwork extending seamlessly across the entire garment.

• Overskirt: To combine bespoke print and hand-embroidered elements, allowing the narrative scenes and motifs to unfold at a larger scale across the train, balancing intricate couture craftsmanship with visual impact and wearability.
